JOB SUMMARY
The Rough Clean operator shall be responsible for knockout, Alloy Verification, water-blasting, cutoff, gate-grinding, sandblasting, and rough visual inspecting cast components. The operator will be evaluated periodically for productivity (good parts processed/hour) and quality, number of re-work returns. The facility greatly values cross-training and a flexible work force in terms of specific job responsibilities, while the operator’s main task shall be rough cleaning of castings, the operator should not be opposed to working in other areas such as finishing, wax, or mold preparation in foundry once provided with the appropriate instruction.
We are currently recruiting for one 1st shift position - 6am - 2:30pm
Training for 1st shift will be on 1st shift for 8 weeks
We are currently recruiting for two 2nd shift positions - 2pm - 10:30pm
Note: There is an added $1.50/per hour differential added to the base pay for 2nd Shift
Training for 2nd shift will be on 2nd shift for 8 weeks
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Hand/Machine Knockout.
- Abrasive saw and plasma torch cut-off.
- Abrasive gate-grinding.
- Sandblast casting to a sheer finish.
- Other responsibilities as trained and assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time while working castings.
- Must be able to understand basic inch and size measurements such as length, height, and diameters notated in decimal fractions of an inch.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of mfg. experience in a related field of metal working/hand finishing/ product inspection or in a position that required the employee to work effectively and intricately with their hands.
- Must pass a drug screening and background check prior to beginning work.
