We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Acro Dance Coach to inspire and guide students through the dynamic world of acrobatic dance. Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive acro dance curricula tailored to various skill levels, emphasizing safety, technique, and creativity
- Lead engaging, energetic classes that incorporate elements of ballet, gymnastics, and performing arts to develop strength, flexibility, and coordination
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning and artistic expression
- Provide individualized feedback and support to students to enhance their progress and confidence in acro dance techniques
- Collaborate with other instructors on choreography projects and performance preparations for showcases or competitions
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during classes, including proper spotting techniques and injury prevention measures
- Maintain organized lesson plans, progress records, and student portfolios to track development over time
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching acro dance or related disciplines such as ballet, gymnastics, or performing arts with a focus on creative movement
- Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, and classroom management
- Experience working with children and youth programs; preschool experience is a plus
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Skills in curriculum development tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels
- Familiarity with theater arts, musical instruments, photography, sewing, or other creative arts is advantageous
- Ability to teach instrumental performance or music as part of integrated arts programs is desirable
- Certification or training in dance instruction or related fields preferred but not required
