Do you have 1 or more years of hands-on microbiology experience in a lab setting? We're searching for a Research Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in Northeast Ohio. This is a hands-on role in a lab, ensuring our research is conducted with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
As a supervisor, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing lab operations: Oversee the day-to-day workflow, including scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Leading a team: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of dedicated lab scientists.
- Ensuring quality: Implement and maintain quality standards for all lab procedures and equipment.
- Performing microbiology techniques: You'll be involved in essential tasks like bacterial culturing, agar plating, and media preparation.
Qualifications
To be a strong candidate, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a science field.
- 1+ years of hands-on microbiology experience in a lab setting.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisor or management position.
- 2+ years of total experience working in a laboratory.
- Strong technical skills in microbiology and an understanding of laboratory operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and people management skills.
