The Building Materials “delivery Driver” Delivers building materials via our fleet of flatbed trucks and offload materials at various locations using forklift, mounted on truck bed. Delivery area is from Colorado Springs to Northern Colorado and all points in between.
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Dispatch/Yard foreman
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of the store layout, inventory, company policy, etc.
- Locates products for customers.
- Deal with company’s customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform and or assist in cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to organize a daily workload by priority.
- Attends safety meetings as needed.
- Observes store areas for safety, potential theft and security risks.
- Ensures that customer expectations are communicated to “operations/Management” as necessary.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: SKILLS:
- Safely load product on to flatbed truck using Moffett forklift
- Superior Customer Service Skills
- Excellent Communication and Organization Skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Correctly strap all loads in accordance with DOT standards
- Mount and unmount Moffett on jobsites and offload customer product safely without damaging product or property
- Maintain delivery schedule and keep with in time frame for delivers
- Take responsibility for assigned truck/Moffett and notify dispatch of any mechanical or maintenance issues requiring repair
- Ensure truck and equipment are kept clean and tidy
- Report back to dispatch and confirm there are no other deliveries
EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Industry experience preferred but not required
- Flatbed experience preferred but not required
- High School Diploma/GED
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Class A or B CDL and medical card
- Must be able to operate a standard 10 speed transmission
- Stoop, Kneel, Crouch or Crawl Periodically
- Lift, Carry, Push or Pull up to 50lbs
- Stand and or sit for prolonged periods
