Smith Protective Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Security Operations Manager to help lead and support operations for our Dallas Regional Office. This position requires occasional local travel throughout the Dallas area and participation in an on-call rotation outside of regular business hours.
Performance Bonus Opportunity:
This position is eligible for an incentive bonus program based on operational performance and the reduction of non-billable overtime.
What You'll Do
Working closely with the Regional Manager, the Security Operations Manager will assist in the overall administration and success of the region by:
- Leading, coaching, and developing Field Supervisors and Security Officers to ensure operational excellence and superior customer service.
- Training supervisors on company procedures, technology platforms, and best practices while ensuring consistent policy implementation.
- Managing training, and licensing of field personnel in partnership with regional administrative staff.
- Overseeing daily scheduling, payroll, billing, and workforce management to ensure all client posts are staffed effectively.
- Responding proactively to staffing challenges and coordinating coverage for call-offs and emergency situations.
- Conducting site visits, client meetings, and quality assurance audits to maintain service standards.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness and professional communication.
- Assisting in the development and execution of operational goals and strategic initiatives for the region.
- Supporting employee engagement efforts that contribute to our strong culture and low turnover.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security operations, contract security management, law enforcement, military leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with workforce management, scheduling, payroll, or billing systems preferred.
- Experience with TrackTik and/or Silvertrac is a plus.
- High attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid Texas Driver License with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly to client locations throughout the region.
