Position Overview
Securitas is seeking a highly professional Armed Security Officer (Level III) to provide security services at a retail location in Lake Jackson, Texas.
This position requires a reliable and customer-focused security professional who can maintain a visible presence, deter criminal activity, respond appropriately to incidents, and provide exceptional service to customers, employees, and visitors. The successful candidate will possess strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors.
- Provide a highly visible armed security presence throughout the property.
- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts and asset protection initiatives.
- Enforce site policies while maintaining a professional and customer-service-oriented approach.
- Communicate effectively with store management, customers, and local law enforcement when necessary.
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- Must possess a valid Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer License.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous armed security experience preferred.
- Ability to work the assigned schedule consistently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Preferred
- Retail security experience.
- Loss prevention or asset protection experience.
- Customer service experience in a public-facing environment.
- Experience with report writing and incident documentation.

- Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to de-escalate confrontational situations professionally.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to patrol interior and exterior areas of the property.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions when required.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
