A community-based non-profit organization, Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center is dedicated to presenting the past, present and future of the movies and to preserving and educating about films, filmmaking, and the film-going experience in its three state-of-the-art theaters and in the surrounding community.
REPORTS TO
Theatre Operations and Facility Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor security cameras and maintain awareness of patron activity throughout the building and entry/exit points
- Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with building protocols
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for guest concerns and de-escalate issues professionally
- Coordinate with bar staff on last call timing and closing procedures
- Provide light oversight and support to evening floor staff
- Document and report any incidents or irregularities to management
- Ensure the building is properly secured at the end of each shift
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Prior experience in security, loss prevention, or a similar role strongly preferred
- Calm, confident presence with the ability to read a room and exercise sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills — comfortable interacting with guests and staff throughout the night
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; ability to respond calmly and quickly in physical situations
- Professional appearance required; SHC staff attire provided
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus
SCHEDULE
Immediate opening. Evening and closing shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, plus additional shifts for special events.
COMPENSATION
Part-time hourly. Compensation commensurate with experience.
