Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
- Support medical staff by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medication administration under supervision, and managing catheter care.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health conditions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in infection control practices by adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean, safe environment in accordance with hospital protocols including Level I Trauma Center standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
- Assist with medical documentation such as recording patient history, documenting procedures performed, and updating medical records accurately within EMR/EHR systems.
- Support patients in outpatient clinics or home & community care settings by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health agencies.
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical terminology and physiology knowledge is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in critical care areas such as ICU or emergency medicine; experience with Level I Trauma Centers is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols including aseptic technique and infectious disease care practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; strong mobility skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
