Duties
- Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages swiftly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing tables and chairs in accordance with food safety standards
- Support the kitchen staff with basic food handling tasks as needed, including assisting with food preparation or setup during busy periods
- Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting trays, supplies, or equipment around the restaurant
- Buss tables efficiently by removing used dishes, glassware, and silverware while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is most important
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and physical movement of supplies or dishes
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing, serving, and food running roles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction
