Test Engineer I
Reports To: VP of Engineering
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
About the Role
We're looking for a curious, detail-oriented Test Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our audio, video, and control solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional products to customers.
As a member of our Engineering team, you'll work closely with software, hardware, and product teams to validate new features, identify issues, improve test coverage, and contribute to continuous improvements in our quality processes. You'll have the opportunity to expand automated testing capabilities, support new product development, and play a key role in successful product releases.

What You'll Do
- Test and validate audio, video, control, hardware, and software products throughout the development lifecycle.
- Execute test plans, document results, and identify, reproduce, and report defects.
- Create, maintain, and improve test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and enhance automated tests using modern testing and scripting tools.
- Review product requirements and engineering specifications to ensure products are testable and meet quality standards.
- Participate in defect triage, verification, and resolution activities.
- Investigate customer-reported issues and assist with root cause analysis.
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test environments and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and release readiness.
- Track and communicate testing progress, coverage, and quality trends.
- Assist with technical documentation and compliance-related testing activities.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with software, hardware, systems, or product testing.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- An eagerness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Xray, TestRail, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright.
- Experience testing hardware, software, AV, or conferencing products.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Knowledge of Dante, VoIP, audio processing, AEC, DSP, or related technologies.
- Experience with Audio Precision or similar audio testing platforms.
- Personal or professional interest in audio technology, music production, broadcast, or related fields.
