Social Security Disability Attorney (Remote)
Social Security Disability Attorney (Remote)
You have argued 100+ disability hearings. Come do it with better support.
If you are a licensed attorney who has personally handled at least 100 Social Security Disability hearings, we want to talk. You already know the system, the ALJs, the vocational experts, and the pressure of a client whose life is riding on one decision. What you may not have is a firm that staffs your cases properly, keeps your file volume workable, and gives you room to grow into new work.
About the Role
This is a full time, fully remote attorney position representing claimants in Social Security Disability matters, with the opportunity to expand into ERISA long term disability insurance litigation. You will manage your own caseload from initial filing through hearing, and, if you want it, take on pre suit ERISA claims, administrative appeals, and federal court filings.
We represent people with disabilities and their survivors in pursuing the benefits they are entitled to receive. Our attorneys are supported by trained legal staff, and we invest in the technology and case management infrastructure that keeps you focused on advocacy rather than administration.
If that is the kind of practice you want, we would like to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Personally manage a caseload of Social Security Disability Insurance claims, including initial applications, reconsiderations, appeals, and ALJ hearings.
Handle ERISA disability insurance matters, including pre suit claims, administrative appeals, and federal court filings, with training and support if this is new to you.
Evaluate medical records, work history, and vocational evidence to identify the proof needed and build the strongest available argument.
Maintain direct, responsive, and empathetic communication with clients by phone, email, and mail throughout the life of the case.
Draft appeals, briefs, and case related documents that hold up on review.
Work with treating providers and expert witnesses to strengthen the record.
Supervise and train legal support staff as needed.
Stay current on applicable law, regulations, and rulings.
What You Bring
Juris Doctor and active bar admission in at least one state.
Enough Social Security Disability experience to have personally handled at least 100 hearings.
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
Genuine commitment to clients navigating life altering disability.
ERISA disability experience is a plus but not required.
