Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through effective therapeutic techniques. we have multiple location that we need this assitant to travel to.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with facility policies.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in skilled nursing facilities, clinics, or other healthcare settings.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is required.
- Experience or knowledge in geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and trigger point therapy is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to provide effective treatment interventions.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families while promoting a positive therapeutic environment.
