Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance/Houseman to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This energetic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, from basic repairs to facility inspections, while providing exceptional service to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and coordinate with team members effectively. Your hands-on expertise will help maintain the integrity of our facilities and enhance the overall experience for residents and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Perform repairs using welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical knowledge, including working with schematics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Execute residential painting projects and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold building standards
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment for troubleshooting electrical systems
- Manage maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and schedules
- Supervise or assist in projects involving manufacturing or large-scale repairs, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or staff concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist with supervising maintenance staff or contractors during large projects or routine upkeep
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, residential painting, or related fields within manufacturing or property management environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with schematics, electrical systems, and PLCs
- Hands-on welding skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
