SUMMARY: Washes, cleans and sanitizes dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans and work surfaces, etc. Also removes garbage from operational areas as necessary, keeps floors in a grease and debris free state at all times as well as participating in general property sanitation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Operates dish machine and three compartment sink in a correct manner.

Ensures correct wash and rinse cycle temperatures are achieved.

Drains and cleans (including screens) dish machine on approved schedule or when needed.

Refills dish machine with clean water before cleaning glassware.
-
Pre-cleans all dishware that goes into the dish machine.
-
Ensures cleaned plates are dry and free from standing water.
-
Cleans, sanitizes and wipes down dish table.
-
Removes and properly stores garbage.
-
Maintains floor to remove standing water, debris and grease.
-
Continually maintains cleanliness and equipment maintenance to include deep cleaning when necessary.

Participates in Walk-in/Reach-in sanitation.

Keeps kitchen organized and ensures that all equipment, products and materials are properly stored.

Follows and is knowledgeable of chemical requirements and maintains chemical amounts as posted on Ecolob chart.

Disposes chemicals in accordance to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) requirements.

Ensures kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are maintained at all times.

Assists in the prep area during down time.

Properly cleans and shuts down dish station at end of shift.

Performs all duties in adherence to all company standards and policy.

Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.

Must have the ability to report to work on time and on a regular basis.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Some high-volume dishwashing experience preferred.
Serve Safe Certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and speak fluently, in the primary language of the property location.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify management when necessary. Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment’s notice.
