Shipping & Receiving Clerk
$24 an hour+benefits+overtime
Contract to hire
Charlotte, NC 28214
2nd shift 3-m to 11pm Mon-Fri
Key Responsibilities

Receive and unload inbound shipments from carriers and vendors.

Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and ASN documentation.

Inspect incoming products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.

Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Label, sort, and stage inventory for put-away or cross-dock operations.
-
Coordinate with warehouse team members, carriers, and customer service teams regarding receiving issues.

Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts as needed.

Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, and forklifts (if certified).

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.

Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.

Support other warehouse functions as business needs require.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED preferred.
-
2-4 years of warehouse or receiving experience, preferably in a 3PL environment.

Experience using WMS systems and RF scanners

Basic computer and data entry skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
Preferred Skills
-
Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
-
Knowledge of inventory control procedures.

Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation.
