Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher to inspire young learners during their foundational years. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that fosters curiosity, social-emotional growth, and early academic skills. As the lead educator, you will implement curriculum plans, manage classroom activities, and build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's unique developmental journey. Responsibilities
- Implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Manage daily classroom activities to promote active learning, positive behavior management, and inclusive classroom management strategies.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that supports preschool-aged children’s physical and emotional well-being.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress through assessments and standardized testing where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childhood development best practices, first aid and CPR certifications, and relevant early childhood education policies.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Experience managing classrooms with diverse learners, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Strong communication skills for parent engagement.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and inclusive environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and child welfare practices is highly desirable.
Pay: $15.67 - $16.69 per hour
