Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students, particularly in a school setting. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective intervention strategies that promote communication skills in children.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results and student needs.
- Implement speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills in students.
- Provide intervention services to children with speech and language delays.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students' communication needs.
- Educate students and families about speech disorders and therapeutic strategies.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech therapy.
Requirements:
- Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience
- Experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
