Assistant Manager – Emerald Stitchery
Location: Seagrove Beach / 30A, Florida

Hours: 9-4 pm Tuesday-Saturday
Emerald Stitchery is looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team! We are a full-service needlepoint shop located on 30A, and we're looking for someone who loves working with people, has a strong eye for detail, and can help keep our shop running smoothly.
Needlepoint experience is preferred but not required — we're happy to teach the right person!
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the shop
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Help customers select canvases, threads, accessories, and other products
- Open and/or close the store as scheduled
- Process purchases and operate the point-of-sale system
- Receive, organize, price, and merchandise new inventory
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming retail environment
- Assist with online orders, fulfillment, and shipping
- Help manage products and inventory through Shopify
- Support classes, events, trunk shows, and other in-store activities
- Assist with training and supporting other team members
- Help ensure store policies and procedures are followed
- Step into a leadership role when the Store Manager is unavailable
Qualifications
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Shopify experience preferred
- Needlepoint experience or knowledge preferred, but not required
- Comfortable learning about needlepoint, fibers, canvases, and finishing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking initiative
- Able to multitask in a busy retail environment
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Positive, welcoming personality with a strong customer-service mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal Assistant Manager is someone who is reliable, personable, organized, and proactive. You don't have to be an experienced stitcher to join us! We're looking for someone who is excited to learn the needlepoint industry and can confidently help with both the customer-facing and operational sides of the shop.
Because Emerald Stitchery is a small business, we're looking for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking ownership of what needs to get done.
