About Us
Moore N More Popcorn is a locally owned, family-run gourmet popcorn shop in St. George. We offer over 100 unique popcorn flavors, gourmet cotton candy, nostalgic candy, gifts, tins, and seasonal treats.
We are looking for a friendly, dependable part-time team member to help with daytime store coverage. This is a hands-on role that includes helping customers, preparing popcorn, packaging products, answering phones and taking orders, keeping the store stocked and clean, and occasionally helping with local events or markets.
Because we are a small family business, team fit matters. We are looking for someone who is reliable, easy to work with, friendly with customers, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Schedule
We are currently hiring for weekday daytime coverage, with some flexibility on the specific days.
Typical schedule:
- 2-3 shifts per week
- Weekday shifts usually fall somewhere around 10:45 AM-3:00 PM
- Saturday availability is needed, generally every other Saturday or a similar rotation
- Some Saturday shifts may be longer, depending on the schedule
- Occasional full shifts may be available or needed, usually around 10:45 AM-6:15 PM
- More hours may be available during our busy season, especially September through December
- We are flexible with time-off needs especially when planned in advance
For example, a good schedule might be two weekday daytime shifts plus a Saturday shift. The exact weekdays can vary based on availability and store needs.
This position is not a good fit for someone who is only available after school, evenings, or weekends.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may include:
- Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with purchases
- Use our Shopify POS system for customer transactions
- Bag, label, and package popcorn for retail sales and wholesale orders
- Answer phones, take orders accurately, and provide order updates to customers
- Restock shelves and help keep displays looking good
- Assist with gift baskets, tins, and special orders
- Help with inventory counts and ingredient restocking
- Keep the cooking, prep, and retail areas clean, safe, and organized
- Cook and prepare popcorn in small batches according to recipes and quality standards
- Operate popcorn machines and other kitchen equipment safely
- Follow food handling and safety guidelines
- Occasionally help with local events, markets, or kiosk shifts as needed
What We’re Looking For
A good fit for this role is someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and comfortable helping customers
- Easy to work with as part of a small team
- Willing to clean, restock, package products, and stay busy during slower times
- Able to learn and follow instructions accurately
- Detail-oriented with customer orders, labels, and product prep
- Comfortable answering phones and speaking with customers
- Comfortable working on their feet for most of a shift
- Able to lift/carry up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Flexible and willing to help with different shop tasks as needed
Previous food prep, cooking, cashier, retail, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Requirements
- Available for weekday daytime shifts, usually around 10:45 AM-3:00 PM
- Available to work regularly on Saturday's
- Able to work in person at our St. George shop
- Able to obtain a Utah Food Handler’s Permit if hired
