The Hub, a division of Spafax Airline Networks, is a well-established and respected post-production facility located in the heart of Hollywood and the Media District. The Hub is seeking a highly detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated Technical Quality Control (QC) & Delivery Specialist to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for the technical evaluation, quality control, validation, and final delivery of feature film and television content to airline partners. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of digital media workflows, encoding specifications, video and audio quality standards, subtitle formats, and content delivery platforms. This individual will serve as the final quality checkpoint prior to client delivery and must be capable of working independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
**This position is full time and on site with possible hybrid days based on performance.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Perform technical quality control reviews of encoded video, audio, subtitle, and metadata assets.
- Validate media files against order specifications.
- Evaluate video and audio quality, including resolution, frame rates, aspect ratios, codecs, bitrates, and overall presentation quality.
- Review and validate subtitle requirements per technical spec (SRT,VTT,etc)
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and communicate technical issues and defects.
- Ensure all content meets required delivery specifications prior to distribution
- Execute digital file deliveries through platforms including Smartjog, AWS, Aspera and other approved delivery methods.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve quality or delivery concerns.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with operational and departmental tasks during periods of lower QC volume.
- Support supervisor with additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of technical media QC experience in post-production, media operations, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of digital media encoding workflows and transcoding processes.
- Extensive knowledge of video formats, resolutions, frame rates, aspect ratios, codecs, and audio configurations.
- Working knowledge of subtitle and timed-text formats and behavior.
- Familiarity with content delivery platforms including Smartjog, AWS, Aspera, and similar file transfer systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication and note-taking abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Required Education or equivalent years of experience:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of Technical Quality Control experience in media, post-production, or content distribution environment.
- Equivalent experience in media transcoding, media operations, or digital content workflows strongly preferred.
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
