Job Description
Are you a high-performing BDC rep who is ready to step into leadership, or an experienced BDC Manager who misses the thrill of closing leads yourself? We are seeking a Working BDC Manager to lead, organize, and elevate our Business Development Center.
This is not a "sit in the office and look at spreadsheets" role. You will be a player-coach—responsible for managing the department, coaching a small team, and rolling up your sleeves to handle your own share of fresh internet leads and inbound calls. If you understand CRM workflows, and know how to turn a "What's your best price?" email into an appointment on the showroom floor, we want you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by Example: Personally handle a portfolio of digital leads and inbound calls, maintaining top-tier conversion rates.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and motivate another BDC representative to hit daily outbound call, email, and text targets.
- CRM Mastery: Ensure 100% data integrity in our CRM (Elead]). Optimize processes, follow-up templates, and campaign schedules.
- Appointment Management: Oversee the scheduling and confirmation process to minimize no-shows and maximize showroom traffic.
- Desk Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Managers and the F&I department to ensure smooth hand-offs from the BDC to the showroom.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs (response time, appointment set rate, show rate) and report directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of automotive BDC experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of coaching others or a strong desire to transition from Top Producer to Supervisor.
- Tech-Savvy: Deep familiarity with automotive CRMs (Elead, etc.]), inventory management tools, and digital retailing platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional phone etiquette, active listening skills, and the ability to write professional, compelling emails/texts.
- Grilt & Drive: A resilient attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid of high-volume outbound activity.
What We Offer
- Competitive payplan.
- Full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k).
- Paid time off and vacation.
- A supportive, high-energy management team and a massive inventory to sell from.
- Clear pathways for career advancement into upper dealership management.
To Apply
If you are a process-driven closer who can lead a team while still dominating the boards, apply today with your resume and a brief summary of your recent BDC achievements (e.g., average monthly appointments set/shown) or come in to the dealership to interview with the General Manager.
