Overview
Join our dynamic fabrication team as a Welder on the Second Shift (5PM to 5AM) and play a vital role in constructing high-quality metal structures and components. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of welding techniques, interpret detailed blueprints, and utilize advanced measuring tools to ensure precision and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform dual‑shield flux core welding using 3/32" wire on carbon steel plate and structural assemblies.
- Set up and adjust weld parameters for heavy‑gauge material, ensuring proper penetration and bead profile.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate weld placement.
- Execute multi‑pass welds with correct sequencing to control distortion and maintain structural integrity.
- Perform arc gouging, joint prep, and post‑weld grinding as required.
- Inspect welds visually and with gauges to meet shop quality standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with fitters and fabricators to complete assemblies and maintain production flow.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety protocolsand PPE requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and knowledge of ASME codes & standards for pressure vessel or piping work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately.
- Proven experience with dual‑shield FCAW, preferably with heavy wire (3/32").
- Ability to pass weld test.
- Strong understanding of weld parameters, heat control, and plate fit‑up.
- Experience with grinders, torches, and fabrication tools.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and consistent production output.
- Ability to work effectively during second shift hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50.0 – 60.0 per week
