Duties
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Supervise food preparation, cooking processes, and food presentation to maintain consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Support staff training initiatives, including onboarding new team members and providing ongoing development to enhance culinary skills and customer service.
- Utilize POS systems such as Clover for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Oversee shift management tasks including scheduling, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring efficient workflow during busy hours.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong organizational skills in inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for team management, staff training, interviewing potential hires, and managerial communication.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced casual dining or fine dining setting with a focus on customer satisfaction.
