Pay: $12–$17/hour based on position and experience

Gerst Haus, one of Evansville's most iconic German-American restaurants, is growing our back-of-house team! We're looking for dependable, hardworking Line Cooks and Dishwashers who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
Whether you're looking for daytime or evening shifts, full-time or part-time hours, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Line Cooks:
- Prepare and cook menu items to order while maintaining quality and consistency
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep, stocking, and closing duties
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
Dishwashers:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and efficient
- Assist with kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
- Help with basic prep and other kitchen tasks as needed
- Support the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
What We're Looking For

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right people
