Wire Belt Company is looking for a hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain our manufacturing facility in Bedford, NH. This is a good fit for someone who is handy, dependable, takes pride in their work, and enjoys variety throughout the day.
This role supports general facility upkeep, light repairs, painting, drywall, basic carpentry, fixture installation, grounds support, and occasional janitorial backup. It is not a licensed electrician, plumber, or HVAC mechanic position, but basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills are important.

Duties
- Perform routine facility upkeep such as light carpentry, minor plumbing tasks, wall repair, painting, and mounting fixtures (e.g., TVs, bulletin boards).
- Support shipping operations by constructing wooden shipping crates using hand and power tools according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility spaces, including restrooms, cafeteria, production floors, and common areas.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of trash, recycling, scrap materials, and metal pin scrap; maintain cleanliness around dumpsters and scrap areas.
- Maintain crate shop organization, cleanliness, and basic material inventory levels.
- Perform non-emergency grounds and exterior maintenance, debris pickup, drain clearing, and other seasonal tasks.
- Clean oily or high-traffic production areas as needed to support a safe manufacturing environment.
- Provides janitorial support and backup coverage as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities, handyman work, property maintenance, carpentry, or a related field
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
- Strong reliability and follow-through
- Good judgment and willingness to ask for help when needed
- Ability to work independently and shift between different priorities
- A valid driver's license
- Comfortable with physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in different areas of the facility

This is an onsite role in Bedford, NH. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Bedford. Relocation is not offered for this position.
