Guided by our Mind, Heart, and Hands philosophy, the BCIT Teacher creates engaging, technology-rich learning experiences that develop students' business, financial, technology, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy skills while fostering creativity, collaboration, leadership, and ethical decision-making.

What You'll Do
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Business, Computer, and Information Technology instruction for students in grades PK–12, as assigned.
Design lessons that are rigorous, relevant, and connected to real-world applications.
Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, emotional, and cultural needs of diverse learners.
Create a positive classroom culture that promotes leadership, responsibility, collaboration, and academic excellence.
Incorporate project-based and inquiry-based learning to enhance student engagement.
Develop instructional materials aligned with Pennsylvania Academic Standards, Career Education and Work Standards, and school curriculum.
Integrate literacy, mathematics, and technology skills across instruction.

Integrate technology into daily instruction using best instructional practices.
Utilize Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems, and other educational technology platforms.
Teach digital citizenship, cybersecurity awareness, online safety, and ethical technology use.
Foster innovation, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through technology-rich learning experiences.
Monitor and assess student learning using formative and summative assessments.
Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions.
Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
Communicate student progress effectively with families and school staff.
Serve as a positive role model who reflects the Academy's mission and values.
Support school-wide initiatives, leadership development, and student engagement activities.
Sponsor student organizations, clubs, competitions, or career-focused programs as assigned.
Promote college, career, and workforce readiness throughout instruction.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff to improve student outcomes.
Participate in faculty meetings, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and ongoing professional development.
Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff.
Comply with all federal, state, and school policies and procedures.
Engage in continuous professional growth and curriculum improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Business, Computer & Information Technology (PK–12)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Strong knowledge of business education, instructional technology, computer applications, and information systems
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively integrate technology into classroom instruction
