Overview
We are seeking a motivated Store Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be helping customers pick out and decide on appliances for their homes. Customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers is our top priority, so anyone who enjoys talking to people and has a positive attitude would be a great fit. You will assist with sales transactions, manage inventory, unloading and testing new inventory, helping customers pickup their appliances, as well as help maintain the overall appearance of the store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product inquiries and purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively communicate with customers.
- Assist in organizing merchandise, and ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Help Customer load their appliances in their trucks or trailers when picking up.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized workspace.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
