We're growing at Roxo Salon & Boutique and looking for a stylist who loves beautiful hair, a luxury vibe, and a team that actually supports you. This is a hairstylist and makeup artist position. We do a lot of special events and we're looking for someone to join our team.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, blowouts, updos, braiding, and hair extensions to meet client needs and preferences
- Apply professional makeup for special events, ensuring each look complements the client’s features and occasion
- Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and provide expert recommendations based on current trends and color theory principles
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and sanitation procedures for tools, workstations, and products in compliance with health regulations
- Offer retail product suggestions related to hair care & styling tools to enhance client results and increase sales through upselling techniques
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting store management activities such as inventory checks and mentoring new team members
Experience
- Proven experience in hair styling, cutting, & coloring techniques based on color theory.
- Skilled in makeup application for various skin tones and event types.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
- Previous experience in retail sales, upselling products, store management or mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
