Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background to support a heavy industrial manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to maximize uptime, improve reliability, and support safe manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of production equipment and facility systems.
- Complete preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair CNC machinery, welding equipment, overhead cranes, presses, and other industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair defective mechanical and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Service motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, couplings, and power transmission components.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, motor controls, control panels, and facility wiring.
- Diagnose and repair PLCs, VFDs, relays, sensors, and industrial machine control systems.
- Perform work on 480V 3-phase electrical systems and industrial power distribution equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment including multimeters, megohm meters, and other electrical testing instruments.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance documentation.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with production personnel to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining industrial production equipment, including CNC machinery, cranes, welding equipment, presses, or automated manufacturing systems.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to provide personal hand tools and toolbox.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and enter confined spaces when required.
