Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with precision and flair.
- Use POS systems Toast POS to process orders accurately and efficiently while managing cash transactions securely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, offering beverage recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Develop new beverage recipes and enhance existing ones to keep our menu fresh and exciting, incorporating craft beer trends and mixology techniques.
- Manage bar inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies to ensure seamless service during busy hours.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service operations including banquets or catering events to deliver a cohesive guest experience.
- Uphold all health regulations related to food safety, alcohol service laws, and responsible beverage service practices.
- Assist in training new team members on POS systems like Aloha or Micros, bar management protocols, and customer service excellence.
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail mixing techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development.
- Proven ability in fine dining settings with a focus on hospitality industry standards for service quality.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours.
- Demonstrated sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Experience in food service environments including restaurant or banquet settings; catering experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and basic math for accurate billing and inventory management.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to create welcoming atmospheres for diverse guests.
- Knowledge of various POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
