Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Care Staff to provide supervision, guidance, and support to youth living in a residential group home. The ideal candidate is committed to creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while helping youth develop life skills, build positive relationships, and achieve personal goals. Duties
- Provide direct supervision and care for youth in a residential setting.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and security of all residents.
- Build positive, professional relationships with youth through mentoring and support.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation, hygiene, chores, and transportation.
- Implement behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and medication records.
- Transport youth to school, appointments, recreational activities, and other approved destinations.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and treatment planning.
- Communicate effectively with house managers, case managers, and other professionals.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with at-risk youth or in residential care is preferred but not required.
- Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass criminal background checks, drug screening, and any required clearances.
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
