Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of body and frame damage using specialized tools and software
- Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials, ensuring transparency for customers and insurance providers
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process
- Collaborate with technicians and management to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Upsell additional services such as paintless dent repair, wheel alignment, or suspension work to enhance shop revenue while meeting customer needs
- Review insurance claims and assist with service writing to facilitate smooth claim processing
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and parts used, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background preferred
- Strong knowledge of auto estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background with understanding of vehicle maintenance, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire service, air brake systems, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, and alignments
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience in auto body repair processes and familiarity with insurance claim procedures
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Cash handling experience is a plus for managing payments efficiently
- Automotive sales experience is advantageous but not required
