The Registered Nurse Educator is a office position that provides competency education/evaluation to the staff including skills checks and remedial training for new hires and annually for all HHAs, LPNs and RNs. When not completing educational duties, you will assist with nursing QA
Education Responsibilities:
- In lab and in home skills checks for new HHA's
- In lab skills checks annually for HHA's, LPN's, and RN's
- Administer employee drug screens and TB tests
QA Responsibilities:
- Creation of client prior authorizations and 485's
- Correspondence with physicians offices and State of IN
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- 2 years previous experience in home health care
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
