- Provide friendly, attentive breakfast service to hotel guests and visitors at Blue Heron inside the James Newbury Hotel
- Create a welcoming morning dining experience and ensure efficient service during breakfast hours
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team to maintain smooth service and guest satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
- Refill coffee, water, and other beverages throughout service
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and ingredients
- Set up and break down dining room for breakfast service
- Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely orders
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns when needed
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tables and orders during busy service periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements and company policies
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing payments
- Experience in catering, banquet, or event service is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay: $10.35 - $15.00 per hour
