The office is open Monday through Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm.
o Full-time position with benefits
o Repairs toilets & faucets. Replaces electrical switches, receptacles & light fixtures. Repairs sheetrock & plaster. Removes and/or transports trash & debris. Preps & paints interior & exterior surfaces. Installs/replaces mini blinds. Cleans appliances, plumbing & electrical fixtures and all interior & exterior surfaces. Removes brush from and mows yards of vacant units.
o Reports to: Sector Chief, Property Manager
o Must possess basic knowledge in at least three (3) of the following areas: Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, Mechanical, Painting and Lawn Care
o Must be able to work well with others
o Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision
o Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent
o Must have a valid Indiana drivers license
o Must have the ability to read, write legibly, do simple math and follow written & oral directions
o Must be in a physical condition that will permit strenuous labor without restrictions
o Starting pay, determined by the Executive Director, will be commensurate with the level of knowledge, skills, training and experience a new employee possesses - verifiable HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
o Pay increases and/or promotions will be based on an employee’s length of service, performance, attitude, training and advancement in skills
o All pay levels are at the discretion of the Executive Director, as agreed to by the Board of Commissioners, will be no less than as furnished on HUD Form 52158 and will be in keeping with the requirements of 29CFR531.
