Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations at Handel's Homemade Ice Cream. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that our store operates efficiently while meeting sales goals. As a Store Manager (in training), you will be responsible for managing staff, supply orders, making the schedule, and other duties as assigned.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance and morale.
- Oversee employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team skills and productivity.
- Manage recruitment processes, including interviewing and hiring new employees.
- Handle payroll processing and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling, pricing, and merchandising.
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to achieve sales targets through effective marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with upper and lower management on store operations, marketing campaigns, and promotional events.
Requirements
- Must have prior experience in food management in the last 3 years. Prior ice cream management is a plus.
- Must be a strong, positive leader willing to lead by example
- Must have open availability and a reliable personal vehicle
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficient in inventory control systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
- Experience in budgeting, payroll management, and scheduling practices.
- Demonstrated ability in team management with a focus on training & delegating tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Time management skills to prioritize daily responsibilities efficiently
- Must be self-motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Must pass extensive background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
