Toddler Teacher

Zimmer Preschool is seeking a warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to join our growing team.
We are looking for an educator who loves working with young children and understands the importance of building strong relationships during the toddler years. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and excited to support children as they develop independence, confidence, communication skills, and a love of learning.
Our teachers create classrooms where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them. We are looking for someone who brings warmth, energy, and intentionality to their work each day.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and respond thoughtfully to their individual needs and interests.
- Engage with children through play, exploration, conversation, and hands-on experiences.
- Support toddlers as they develop independence, social skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Create and execute classroom routines including arrival, meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and rest time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
- Classroom planning and preparation (including documentation and lesson planning)
- Document children's learning and experiences through Brightwheel.
- Communicate positively and professionally with families.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and the Zimmer team to create a supportive school community.
Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Prior experience working with preschool aged children.
- Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Patient, dependable, and nurturing personality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A genuine love for toddlers and excitement for supporting their growth and development.
