We are hiring for the full-time position of Utilization Review Specialist. Working for our company you will be a part of a friendly team with experienced and supportive co-workers. The position can be on-site at our office in Davie, hybrid, or a remote position (with in-person training if applicable). We are looking for candidates who are organized, professional, and have good communication. We also welcome applicants with ABA experience!
Utilization Review Specialist [Behavioral Health]:
This is a full-time position with potential rotating Saturdays.
Pay Range $55k-$65k (depending on experience)
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in substance abuse and mental health utilization review.
- Experience in EMRs.
Skills Required:
- Proficient with the Utilization Review process
- Proficient with computer programs (Google Drive, Word, etc)
- Ability to manage an active caseload for clients at the detox, residential, PHP, and IOP level of care
- Knowledgeable on ASAM and LOCUS criteria
- Ability to articulate medical necessity in order to advocate for clients
- Conducting reviews and appeals in a timely manner
- Must have experience conducting live reviews
- Good documentation skills (writing clear and detailed notes)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to work independently and as a team
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines
