We are a growing refrigerated trucking company specializing in temperature-controlled transportation across the United States. We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Claims Specialist to manage cargo, liability, and physical damage claims while working closely with insurance carriers, drivers, customers, repair facilities, and internal departments.

Responsibilities
- Investigate and manage cargo, accident, liability, and physical damage claims from start to finish.
- Report claims promptly to insurance carriers and third-party administrators.
- Gather accident reports, police reports, driver statements, photographs, repair estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, safety department, customers, and repair facilities.
- Monitor claim progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate and ensure timely claim resolution.
- Review insurance coverage and determine claim eligibility.
- Assist with cargo loss investigations involving refrigerated shipments.
- Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements to reduce future claims.
- Prepare reports for management regarding claim activity and financial impact.
- Assist during DOT audits and insurance reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in trucking or transportation.
- Knowledge of commercial auto, cargo, physical damage, and general liability claims.
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations is preferred.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
