We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to perform body composition assessments and support our growing Manhattan clinic.
Schedule
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (office closed 1–2 Saturdays per month)
Position Overview
This role is centered around performing DEXA body composition scans and assisting patients through a variety of wellness assessments in a fast-paced longevity and preventive health practice. Unlike a traditional hospital radiology position, this role focuses on body composition analysis, patient education, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment where multiple health assessments and appointments may be occurring simultaneously. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform DEXA body composition scans according to established protocols.
- Ensure patients have a comfortable, efficient, and positive experience.
- Explain testing procedures and answer patient questions.
- Accurately collect and document body composition data.
- Coordinate patient flow with providers, health coaches, and other clinical team members.
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license preferred.
- ARRT certification preferred.
- Experience with DEXA scanning is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy outpatient environment.
- Team player with a positive, patient-centered attitude.
- Interest in wellness, fitness, longevity, or preventive health is a plus.
