Job Summary
The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases and provide general care to women.
Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, appropriate and effective clinical care for patients of all ages
-
Outpatient and Hospital coverage
-
Maintain good quality medical records
-
Work within a team collaborative model at a Patient Centered Medical Home
-
Advocate for quality care on behalf of patients and the organization
-
Provide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
-
Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders, and conditions.
-
Prescribe appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy.
-
Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
-
Conduct mood and emotional well-being assessments during post-partum appointment.
-
Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.
-
Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.

Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.

Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.
-
Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.

Conduct routine check-up appointments and maintain follow up throughout

Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients.

Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.

Education, Training, and Experience Required
-
MD/DO degree
-
Successful completion of residency and/or fellowship
-
Obstetrical training
-
Licensed in the state of New York and/or Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain licensure
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible
-
DEA Certification required.

Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction.

Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult.

Ability to work as a team.

Must have strong computer skills.
