Position Overview
The Receiving Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating and executing all inbound warehouse operations. Working alongside a small team, this position actively participates in unloading, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments while ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely system updates.
The Receiving Lead serves as the primary point of contact for daily inbound activities and is responsible for coordinating receiving operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse flow. This role requires balancing leadership responsibilities with active participation in day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee daily receiving activities, including unloading, counting, and verifying inbound shipments.
- Work alongside receiving team members to process shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify incoming products against purchase orders, packing lists, Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), or other receiving documentation.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and communicate issues promptly.
- Accurately receive inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Coordinate inbound deliveries, dock scheduling, and communication with carriers and internal departments.
- Ensure proper labeling, staging, and timely put-away of inventory.
- Maintain organization and workflow within the receiving area to maximize efficiency.
- Partner with Inventory Control and Operations teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Train, coach, and provide day-to-day guidance to Receiving Clerk(s) on processes, productivity, and quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while promoting company safety standards.
- Assist with other warehouse functions, including put-away, replenishment, and general warehouse support, as business needs require.
- Identify opportunities to improve receiving processes, increase efficiency, and reduce errors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two (2) years of warehouse experience, with receiving or inbound operations experience preferred.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the receiving function.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the workday.

Schedule
- Full-time, on-site position in Springville, Utah.
- Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed based on inbound volume and operational demands.
