Job Summary:
Palm Breeze Designs LLC. is a boutique interior design firm based in Boca Raton, FL. We are seeking a responsible and creative Interior Design Intern to join our team this fall. As an Interior Design Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the Principle Designer in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet our clients' needs and preferences. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and collaborate with other design professionals to bring that vision to life. Internship will consist of approximately 10-12 hours/week of both on showroom visits, project site visits and remote office work to understand the creative structure and operations of an interior design firm. This is an internship for a school credit with potential of a hired position at the conclusion of term based on performance.
1. Responsibilities will include:
a.) Role: Design Intern
b.) Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in showroom and project site visits
- Assist in procurement: sourcing, ordering, tracking and quality checks
- Assist in client schedules and general communications
- Creative range with mood boards as well as color and texture stories
- Shadow the digital rendering process for 2D & 3D floorplans
- Assist in styling and photography sessions
- Assist with posting relevant material to company social media page
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in interior design
2) Skills:
- Strong sales skills to effectively communicate design ideas and sell concepts to clients
- Familiarity with remodeling processes and techniques
- Understanding of color theory and its application in interior design
- Hold an undergraduate degree or currently enrolled or entering a college or university in a relative field of study
- Have own transportation for picking up materials or visiting project sites
3) TERM. The Parties agree that the internship shall begin end of August 2026 and complete at the beginning December with exact dates to be determined.
Furthermore, this Agreement can be terminated at any time if the Intern breaches any portion or section of this Agreement.
4) SCHEDULE. The Parties agree to the following work schedule:
a.) The Intern agrees to work up to 12 hours per week.
b.) The Intern shall be allowed to take all Federal Holidays off from work.
c.) The Parties agree to the following workweek: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
