Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing for transportation of hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes while adjusting plans as needed for traffic or weather conditions.
- Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated goods, automobile transportation, flatbed loads, tankers, or hazardous materials, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailers to verify vehicle safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Deliver freight promptly to multiple destinations while managing route driving schedules effectively.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker handling, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations governing commercial driving and hazardous materials.
- Skilled in truck loading and unloading techniques, including manual handling for freight safety.
- Proficient in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently across long-distance OTR routes.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, load & unload procedures, and cargo security.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
