Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you will serve as a vital provider, performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications within your scope of practice. Your expertise will support a wide range of patient populations, including acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and specialized medical services. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state laws and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses across various specialties such as gastroenterology, infectious disease, pain management, and geriatrics.
- Perform medical procedures including suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, spinal taps, dermal fillers, and sterile processing techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and patient data management.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support remote patient management.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license for independent practice with current certification in your practicing state.
- Demonstrated experience in medical office settings with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
- Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room settings preferred; hospital medicine or trauma center experience highly valued.
- Expertise in specialized procedures like botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, spinal taps, sonography, and gastroscopy is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and HIPAA regulations for secure patient information handling.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, and individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Skills in triage assessment, acute pain management, infection control protocols, and post-acute discharge planning are essential.
- Ability to perform invasive procedures such as venipuncture, catheter care/placement, tube feeding management and ventilator support when necessary.

Pay: $179.00 - $180.00 per hour
