Qualifications:
- 3-plus years of experience in adult professional development, client advocacy, social work, educational and vocational innovation, and clerical processes, providing expedient customer service in a moderate-to-fast-paced environment. Proficient and meticulous attention to detail, active listener, and problem solver.
- Proficient computer abilities using Microsoft Office and web-based management systems.
- Associate’s Degree or postsecondary certificate from a college or vocational school, a plus.
- Creates an environment of social positivity and is passionate about serving people.

- Must be able to drive up to 12 passenger van while towing a 20 ft. trailer

Responsibilities and Duties
The Workforce Development Advocate is responsible for working with the Workforce Development Team to provide advocacy and facilitate deliverable [program] services. They serve as models for guests in the program while sharing hope and guidance throughout the program experience. The Workforce Development Advocate is directly involved with providing quality services to our guests in an environment of love, grace, dignity, and respect. A Workforce Development Advocate is someone who has agreed to assist others in their program journey and assist them with moving toward economic stability and self-sufficiency.
- Warmly greet all guests, including but not limited to visitors, volunteers, vendors, staff, guests, donors, community groups, church groups, and public officials.
- Establish and build healthy Christ-honoring relationships with guests while maintaining the Code of Ethics.
- Under the leadership of the Workforce Development Manager, maintain the Standard of Excellence and actively participate in the process of upholding this standard among the Workforce Development Team.
- Comply with the HIPAA Compliance, Privacy and Security Rules, and GRM’s Confidentiality Policy.
- Maintain thorough and timely guest records in a cloud-based tracking system and document any interactions, concerns, or other pertinent information regarding guests.
- Obtain and update current and accurate signed Release of Information forms for guests.
- Assess eligibility and assist guests with enrolling in Employment Search or Education services upon entrance into the program, developing an individualized plan for each guest.
- Teach basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, typing, basic internet skills, and use of other programs as appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal or external agencies to develop employment preparation skills and job search plans.
- Monitor the safe use of GRM equipment in Workforce Development.
- Identify barriers hindering employability and services, support, or referrals to community resources.
