Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Busperson/Server Assistant to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a tidy dining area at all times.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting them with clean linens, silverware, and glassware for incoming guests.
- Support servers by delivering food and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Help with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, tables, or equipment using safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including floors, countertops, and storage spaces through regular sanitation and cleaning routines.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to sanitation, food safety, and manual handling to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with team members and guests.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety practices, and proper table setting procedures.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
- Willingness to learn about food handling procedures, catering support, and restaurant operations.
