What a Typical Day Looks Like
As our Lead Preschool Teacher, you are the director of discovery and kindergarten readiness. You won't just be managing a classroom; you’ll be creating an environment where curiosity is celebrated, problem-solving is encouraged, and learning is a daily adventure.
- Design the Adventure: Plan and execute engaging, hands-on lessons in literacy, math concepts, science exploration, art, and faith-based values tailored for 3- to 5-year-olds.
- Nurture Social-Emotional Growth: Help preschoolers master critical life skills like conflict resolution, teamwork, emotional self-regulation, empathy, and classroom independence.
- Lead the Classroom Team: Provide inspiration, leadership, and guidance to assistant teachers and volunteers in your room.
- Partner with Parents: Keep families connected through transparent communication regarding their child's developmental milestones, academic progress, and daily achievements.
- Track & Support Growth: Observe, document, and assess each child’s progress to ensure they are meeting key developmental and kindergarten-readiness goals.
- Keep it Safe & Sound: Maintain a structured, vibrant, and secure environment, ensuring all health and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Who You Are
You are enthusiastic, imaginative, and patient. You know how to transform a simple story into a theatrical experience, a science mistake into a lesson in curiosity, and clean-up time into a fun challenge.
- Experienced: You have at least 2 years of experience working in an early childhood setting, with a passion for the preschool age group (ages 3–5).
- Credentialed: You hold a CDA in Preschool, or an Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field).
- Certified: You are up to date on your MAT, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
