Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records
- Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling patient inquiries
- Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to facilitate billing and insurance claims
- Assist with inpatient or outpatient procedures in specialized settings such as OR or trauma centers when required
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical-surgical practices
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools
- Skilled in patient service delivery with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ICD coding standards for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes
- Capable of managing medical records securely while adhering to confidentiality protocols
- Competence in intake procedures, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support certification (BLS)
