ABOUT OLD VILLAGE PROVISIONS
Old Village Provisions (OVP) is a Charleston-based premium nutrition company placing curated vending stations inside the city's best fitness facilities, schools, offices, and athletic programs. We carry premium brands your customers already know — Ghost Energy, RXBAR, Quest, Liquid IV, Celsius, and more — and we operate every machine ourselves so our partners never have to think about it.
We're a small, fast-moving team that takes pride in doing things right. Every machine is stocked well, kept clean, and managed with the same attention to detail we'd expect walking into a premium retail store. That standard starts with our Route Technicians.
THE ROLE
As a Route Technician, you are the face of Old Village Provisions in the field. You'll drive a regular route across our Charleston partner locations — gyms, schools, offices, and athletic facilities — restocking machines, keeping them clean, and making sure every site looks exactly the way it should.
This is a hands-on, physical role that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and a good attitude. No prior vending experience is needed — we'll train you on everything. What we can't train is showing up on time, communicating clearly, and caring about doing the job right. If that's you, we'd love to meet you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
▸ Drive your assigned route and restock vending machines on schedule across all active OVP locations
▸ Check product dates and remove any items that are expired or near expiry
▸ Wipe down machines, clean glass panels, and ensure each unit looks polished and professional
▸ Report any machine malfunctions, damage, or technical issues immediately to the Operations Manager
▸ Photograph machine condition before and after each restock using the OVP app or phone
▸ Keep accurate, real-time records of what was restocked at each location
▸ Collect and reconcile cash from machines where applicable
▸ Communicate professionally and courteously with on-site facility staff at partner locations
▸ Maintain your vehicle in a clean and organized condition with all OVP supplies accounted for
▸ Flag any product discrepancies, low-stock situations, or customer feedback to your manager
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
▸ Valid South Carolina driver's license and a clean driving record (required)
▸ Reliable personal vehicle — you will be reimbursed for all mileage driven on routes
▸ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
▸ Comfortable being on your feet and moving for the duration of your route
▸ Strong reliability — our partners count on machines being stocked on schedule
▸ Basic smartphone proficiency for route tracking, photo documentation, and communication
▸ Positive, professional demeanor when interacting with partner location staff
▸ Self-starter who can manage their time and complete a route independently
BONUS POINTS (NOT REQUIRED)
▸ Prior experience in route delivery, food service, retail stocking, or logistics
▸ Familiarity with vending machines, cooler units, or food handling
▸ SERV Safe or food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one)
▸ Flexibility to cover additional shifts or routes during peak periods
WHAT WE OFFER
▸ $20.00 - $25.00 per hour — paid bi-weekly
▸ Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard rate for all route miles driven

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a field-based, mobile role. The majority of your time will be spent driving between locations, unloading product, and restocking machines. You will work independently for most of your shift. Locations include gyms, schools, office parks, and athletic facilities throughout the Charleston metro area.
Shifts may begin as early as 8:00 AM depending on the partner location's hours of operation. Some weekend availability is helpful but not always required. We'll work with your schedule.
